Replete with errors. Questions match neither content nor style of the 7th grade SBAC. Students do not find any explanations helpful either. I don't know whether there are better prep books for the SBAC yet, but I suggest trying to find them; I sure will. I recommend using SSAT prep books with highest ratings and focusing on the upper level test until/unless you do find a book that offers at least one of two important things for a test preparation book: adherence to the style of the test and close mirroring of the skills level and content of the actual test. his book does neither of these things. While the top-rated SSAT books will not help with precise style of this test, they will cover the necessary content. Adding injury to insult, as the saying goes, this book contains a large number of errors that waste students' time and frustrate them.
I like the book that it has different categories, so after correction, I know which area my daughter needs help on. Plus, according to my daughter, the test content of Lumos Learning is harder and more challenging than the online State SBAC practice tests. I think it’s better to expose the kids with a little bit more challenging questions than it will actually be so that they can do the actual test without sweat. However I took one point off as there are a few questions throughout the whole book that have errors, like the questions themselves not having clear enough information to work on OR the answers aren’t matching the questions. Lumos will get 5 stars from me if they do better editing.
This has all the tests and mini-tests that it states. With the practice smarter balanced test online, I am able to reference practice problems and concepts according to common core. There is still some leg work, but it provides great correlation and then testing.

Relevancy to the actual test is most important thing when you are preparing your student or kids for particular test. I needed a work book for my 7th Grade students’ SBAC math test prep and found it the most relevant as well as accurate resource.
This is an excellent resource for any 7th grade struggling Math student and it covers everything a student should know for Common Core whatever your opinion on Common Core you have to admit these standards aren't going away and this test preparation manual is one of the best out there and as an educator myself I highly recommend this as a supplemental aid to the regular Math curriculum. You will not be disappointed the author of this prep book covers all bases ensuring that your student will be successful if you use this to help with Math.
I am not the most well versed in math, but I don't need to be with a wonderful book like this to teach kids in my after school program. This book will help improve their math scores, and has already helped them grasp many concepts they say they were unable to understand before.
