This is a great book for the youngest Bubble Guppies fans. Our 1 ½ year old twin grandsons love pressing the buttons while the super simple story lines are being read. The book and buttons are sturdy. The twins like this book as much as their other hands-on activity Bubble Guppies book, Hide-and-Go-Swim! (Bubble Guppies) (Nifty Lift-and-Look). The video demonstrates what each page is like--there are ten pages total (five double pages).
Love the product for all of the obvious reasons- sound effect, short story, great illustrations, light yet durable book. Would give it a 5 except the buttons to press for the sound effects are quite hard, making it difficult for my 2 year old (& even myself) to press. We have to press the buttons a few times in order for the sound effects to be activated. Maybe it’s just my book. Not sure. But I wish the buttons were created to be a bit more sensitive so young children can depress the buttons without any challenges. She often gets frustrated, leaving her without the full experience.
Our granddaughter lllllllloves this show! I got this book thinking it would feature voices... The only voices are Mr. Grouper and Bubble Puppy's bark(which isn't a voice). Unlike the cartoon episode, this book makes it look like the kids are trying to mow down an elderly Mrs. Peekytoe at the super market, for the last box of Bubble Bites. This won't be read much...our baby can just hit the buttons.
Love this book my Great Niece loves Bubble Guppies and this is her one book that she can say and wants everytime we get in the car which is where I keep it. She loves the sounds that she can press the buttons on.
It's bright & colorful, keeping with the Bubble Guppies theme. The sounds are also a fun touch for a children's book, especially Mr. Grouper saying "Good morning everyone!" (My son's favorite) However, the story & sounds have little connection to the main characters. It's mainly about Bubble Puppy & sounds are of bubbles, cash register, puppy crunching a bone, etc. Also, the buttons are hard to push for an 18-month-old.
It was okay. The sounds the buttons made were disappointing though. They were just generalized sounds with very little correlation to the show.
The sounds aren't all that fun - I thought I read in the one of the reviews one of the buttons plays a song - either the book I received is broken, or that reviewer was mistaken. There are no songs. The sounds are fine, but not what I was looking for for my 1 y/o. Probably more fun for older children.
My daughter loves her new buppies book! Came just described, and everything works on it.
