About the Author
Tom Taylor is the creator of the Aurealis-Award Winning graphic novel series THE DEEP (which tells the adventures of a multiethnic family of underwater explorers who live on a submarine). The Deep has been optioned by Technicolor to be turned into a 26 episode CG animated series. He is perhaps best known for the best-selling DC Comics series, INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, and his many Star Wars series, which include STAR WARS: INVASION and STAR WARS: BLOOD TIES (which won the 2012 Stan Lee Excelsior Award). Taylor has written for DC Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, Wildstorm, 2000 AD and Gestalt Comics.

If you’ve come this far, you’d be crazy not to follow “Injustice: Gods Among Us†into its third year. It’s every bit as good as the first two years were. This time, Tom Taylor throws the realm of magic into the mix, making it a very Constantine-centric run of books. It’s a real rollercoaster ride, and a lot of ground gets covered in these thirteen issues. It feels like we’re no nearer to a resolution by the time it’s all said and done, but that’s okay with me; if they can maintain this level of quality, I’ll definitely be along for the ride. Bring on year four!
I'm relatively new to Tom Taylor's writing, but he continues to hit it out the park in Year 3. Taylor has a very impressive ability to deftly weave DC characters together with the right balance of subtle nods to their history as well as minor-expository reminders as to who everyone is. He also seems to have an instinct for what character interactions, developments, and arcs will work given their histories. I'm not sure I've seen a writer do this quite so well since some of Geoff Johns' earlier work. My only minor complaint (thus the 4 stars) is that this feels a bit more overloaded than the prior two years. And as a result there is more emphasis on the escalating magical action than there is on either how the Regime is progressing or what the characters are experiencing. The latter is still present, just not as developed. There is more time spent on playing out escalating mysteries regarding certain characters, than exploring their motivations. But still, really great continuation of the series.
Continuing from Years One and Two, writer Tom Taylor weaves a convincing story from the original premise and keeps it not only moving forward but keeps the reader guessing as, with this alternate DC Comics universe, you never quite know what, or who, is just around the corner.
Without much experience reading DC Comics, I dove into the Injustice series a bit after it came out and was completely immersed and couldn't stop reading.Year 3 continues this addictive tale that takes on new and unexpected twists while ensuring each development makes sense.
Fantastic book. Great series
Despite some writing flaws of questionable motivation for certain characters and the occasional lampshading of plot devices, the Injustice Universe stroy carries on strong in the third year. This chapter takes a very heavy mystical lean and the primary addition is the antihero John Constantine.
Started to feel drawn out. Just not as interesting as last volume. Main character’s chain-smoking was unnecessary. Read more like a “filler†part of the overall story.
Super hero's meets Harry Potter? This is the magic year. Though I have to say I did get a little lost at times, I still really enjoyed it.
